We’ve Moved ! ! !

It’s that time of year again when domain names and website hosting payments are due…. and we have made the executive decision to move to a free blog on wordpress.com as they do such a good job.

Linda and I had not seen each other since last September and we had a joyful meeting last Wednesday the 6th July, when I drove down to Yorkshire to see her. We had a wonderful day catching up and of course we ate cake, went shopping, laughed, hugged and revelled in being together. Don’t get me wrong, we have talked nearly everyday on the phone, seen each other on Skype and e-mailed each other….. but being together in the same room was fantastic. To be blessed with a truly lovely friend is wonderful on so many levels, spiritually, artistically, humourously and physically being in the same place is not to be underrated. Luckily Linda will be visiting the North East in August so we won’t have to wait so long for a well needed hug.

We are sorry we haven’t been very active in the Goddess department but we still think it’s a fabulous idea which we want to pursue in the future.

What a Difference a Year Makes

Gosh, has it really been a year since we last posted.  Well, where do I start to let you know our latest news?

Linda relocated and is now fully ensconced in Somerset where she is running residential painting courses, painting wonderful rock pool studies, working as an interior design advisor and generally enjoying a freedom she has always wished for.

I have been teaching in my home studio on a weekly basis, created a more harmonious home environment ( we had our house on the market for three years with no sale, so I’m learning to love it again) which includes a wonderful red/bronze bedroom wall and a little writing desk for my contemplations. I also did quite a lot of work in the gardening industry as did Linda and we had fun handing out plant food in garden centres during April and May.

This year we have decided to open an Etsy shop, just click the word Ingenious Goddesses in the sidebar under the word Etsy and it takes you straight there, or follow this link etsy.

TV Appearance

I will be on Create and Craft TV this Friday 13th November at 10am and also next Friday 20th at the same time.

The theme is mono-chrome and there are some lovely papers, vellums, card, acetates. I will also be demonstrating a little folded book with an embellished cover (think grunge flowers). Iris folding & silhouettes feature as well, so why not tune in and send me an e-mail.

I will post some photos when I get back next week.

I’m stopping off to see Linda, I need a Goddess hug and a creative fix…….

There was mention of some fireworks and I can’t wait for us to create our own little piece of heaven in Linda’s studio, chatting and inventing new things to do on our next Retreat.

Hi everyone! Linda & I thought you would like to know all our latest news.

Linda is appearing all this week  5-8th November at the Art Materials Live Show at the NECin Birmingham where you can find her on the Winsor & Newton stand demonstrating all the lovely new Liquitex Inkproducts. She has just phoned to tell me it’s absolute mayhem as everyone is getting their last creative retail fix before Christmas… wish I could be there!!

Why not pop along and see her demo? – That’s if you haven’t already!

I’m going to be doing some shows on Create & Craft for a company calledCraftmeHappy. My first appearance for them will be on Friday 13th of November, don’t know what time yet – but I’ll keep you posted. It would be lovely if while I’m on the show, you Goddessses could email in.

Well, we are all ready to roll with the Ingenious Goddess Retreats and                                                           WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!!

Despite visiting several venues we still haven’t found the perfect place to hold ourRetreat. Can you help us? Do you know of a lovely, welcoming, reasonably priced hotel/conference centre that has great facilities and food and can accommodate up to 75 Goddesses in both single and twin rooms?????  Being near a motorway system would also be good, so that everyone can get there easily on a Friday afternoon/evening.

We really hope you can help us narrow down our search as we can’t wait to meet all you budding Goddesses.
